This legendary cocktail is the precursor to the most famous of all cocktails, the Martini.

Some interesting facts about Martinez give us Jamie Boudreau.

My favorite version has sweet vermouth taste with light citrus and floral undertones. Try citrus vermouth by Cinzano (Lemetto or Orancio) for unusual results and new experience.

Martinez

40 ml gin
40 ml italian (sweet) vermouth
2 teaspoons maraschino liqueur
1 dash Angostura bitter
Stir (sic!). Cocktail.

60 ml aged white rum (Havana Club Anejo 7 Anos)
15 ml fresh lime juice
8 ml curacao
8 ml maraschino liqueur
1 dash Angostura bitters
Stir. Cocktail glass.

MAI TAI my friend… MAI TAI!

Mai Tai

30 ml best aged white rum (Havana Club Anejo 7 Anos)
30 ml best aged dark rum (Angostura 1919)
15 ml curacao (Bols Dry Orange Curacao)
5 ml orgeat
5 ml gomme syrup
30 ml fresh lime juice
Shake with cutted lime shells.  Old-fashioned glass with crash.

Couple week ago I read about Sex on the Beach on The Art of Drink.

His version is so interesting and I decide to try it.

В общем скажем так… Я не пью уже 3 недели :) Это просто ужас
ужаснейший - ремонт, разруха, все собрано в огромные безобразные
коробки, бар просто законсервирован… Да ещё и сессия…
Куда уж тут пить.

Но все когда-то заканчивается. Вот, к примеру, у меня закончилась
сессия. И я решил начать пить опять :) А тут Darcy со своим оригинальным
рецептом.

Sex on the Beach 

30 ml vodka
15 ml peach schnapps
8 ml raspberry liqueur
60 ml cranberry juice
60 ml pineapple juice
Shake. Collins.

Oh, Pear!

1/4 fresh pear, seeded
60 ml citrus vodka (I use Nemiroff Lime)
30 ml fresh lemon juice
20 ml gomme syrup.
Muddle pear. Shake with a lot of cracked ice. Strain in cocktail glass.
Garnish with a thin slice of pear.

Pegu is one of my favorite drink. Undoubtedly this cocktail worth individual investigation and place (may be … five or six) in my The TOP of Drink by Scomorokh.

Pegu Cocktail

60 ml gin
20 ml curacao (green curacao DeKuyper)
2 wedges of lime
2 dashes Angostura
Muddle limes, curacao, and bitters in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add gin and ice and shake. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime peel.
