I agree LIIT and its variations are by no means good/classy/tasty, but it is VERY popular. Along with its variations ofc., so it really pays to have a “heavy” section on your cocktail menu if you run a bar. And don’t judge 18yr-olds too fast :) I’m 18 and im more of a MaiTai/Mojito fan

Beverly Hills Iced Tea

2 parts Absolut Vodka
1 part Lime Juice
2 parts Plymouth Gin
1 part Simple Syrup
2 parts Triple Sec
Champagne
Lime

Fill a sling glass to the rim with ice cubes. Pour absolut vodka, lime juice, plymouth gin, simple syrup and triple sec into a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake it until the shaker is very cold. Strain the drink into the sling glass. Top up with champagne. Garnish with a lime (wedge).

18 y.o. mens have good work enzymes and bad taste therefor LIIT is they choice. But LIIT for 30 y.o…. only for investigation :)

I think all LIIT’s supposed to be served to adults (may be it could be better to wait for a 30 to drink this drinks – on the other hand, those supposed to be already old enough to refuse recipes like that – uh no… some are never old enough!).

Yes Bullfrog doesn’t sound really delightful – but it is no delightful drink either…

Actually I am not of the LIIT lovers too. But it is one of classic (“modern classic” of course) cocktails and I try it. I think it is very commercial drink and it has success in many bar.
The variations of LIIT are totaly awful drinks and must serve only 18 y.o. man :) (21 y.o. in USA).
And Bullfrog sounds like totaly shit :)

Actually I am not a great fan of the LIIT and its variation!
And I believe that most cocktail bloggers are with me with this dislike!

But no complaints here… Here in Dubai you find a (even worse) drink which is called Bullfrog (and it is another recipe than the Bullfrog you usually find in the recipes in the web or books):

2 cl white rum
2 cl white tequila
2 cl gin
2 cl vodka
2 cl blue curaçao
2 cl lemon juice
fill up with Red Bull

Normally there is no need for shaking a LIIT neither this variation. Just build it and shoot yourself to the moon, or mars or to directly into the sun???

But of course drink (or shoot) responsible…
