I appreciate that the classic is a classic for a reason, but I've recently put together this tasty twist for a bar in Milton Keynes (UK)

25ml Creole Shrub Rum Orange Liqueur
12.5ml Appleton v/x
12.5ml Apricot Brandy
12.5ml Falernum
12.5ml Orgeat
25ml fresh Lime Juice
4 mint leaves
small chunck of fresh pineapple muddled (enough to make 25-50ml of puree)

Shaken and Strained into an oldfashioned filled w/ crushed ice

Tasty, fruity and pretty damn awesome if you ask me

Just Great! as a real Mai Tai geek i`m really happy to see your entry together with those nice rum reviews!

Here is a tip for you if you like Mai Tai:

Killer Mai Tai

I have made quite a few Mai Tais with different rums but i didn`t know it could taste like this..or the full meaning of "Mai Tai roa ae" until i made it with the Silver Seal 15 year demerara rum.

    * 2 oz Silver Seal 15 year demerara rum
    * 1 oz fresh lime juice
    * 0.5 oz orgeat - preferable home made
    * 0.5 oz simple or rock candy syrup
    * 1/4 oz orange curacao
    * mint
    * crushed ice

Shake with ice, strain and serve over crushed ice in a double old fashioned glass, garnish with a sprig of mint, and a cherry. This Mai Tai packs a punch due to the 110 proof rum.

Here`s where to get that rum: http://www.r2mshop.com/

Cheers!

Hi Pavel, couldn't respond to your e-mail, so thought I'd post here.

an excellent choice, and right in line with my feelings on the Mai Tai
too! Outstanding job, and nice rum reviews. It's a two for one post!

You're in the wrap-up.
