Grand Martini

Martini is no great cocktail only but vermouth. This cocktail is Grand Martini (& Rossi of course).

Grand Martini

1 dash Creme de menthe green
3 dashes kirsch
4 dashes apricot brandy
30 ml dry vermouth
30 ml sweet vermouth
30 ml dry gin
Shake. Cocktail glass.

Grand drink!

Golden Dawn

This amazing cocktail was a winner of the ICC 1930 (London). Nine years later Walter Madigan mixed it without calvados and won ICC 1939.

I think now it may be considered as a pure classic (well, at least as an interesting vintage cocktail).

It has complicated taste with undertones of fruits (ripe apples, dried fruits, grapes, apricots) and fabulous look with a little summer sun in your glass.

Golden Dawn

25 ml gin
25 ml apricot brandy
25 ml calvados
25 ml fresh orange juice
3 drops of grenadine
Shake (without grenadine). Cocktail, drop grenadine for effect of dawn.

25 ml Galliano
50 ml pineapple juice
15 ml dark rum (Angostura 1919)
10 ml apricot brandy (Bols Apricot)
10 ml fresh lemon juice
Shake. Collins (I’ve used a highball). Garnish with a cherry… and maybe some fruits.
