Sambuca is one of my favorite liqueur. First - I like sweet anise flavor and taste of it. Second I like very much to ignite sambuca on saterday night and go to the club.
Step 1.
Prepare some equipment, which you can see on foto.

Step 2.
Put 3/4 - 1 oz (20 - 30 ml) of sambuca in the snifter and 1 dash of coffee liqueur (I use Kahlua).

Step 3.
Rotate snifter some times and set on the fire. Continue to rotate snifter. Please operate VERY carefully.

Step 4.
Pour the flame in old-fashioned glass.

Step 5.
Extinguish a fire in this way:

Drink a hot sambuca (warning! very, very hot sambuca may cause of burn…) And inhalate from a snifter. Enjoy!

Today`s post has very intresting name - Kamikaze with Balalaika…
It is clear in one`s mind - austere Japanese with russian folk musical
instrument. Great and beautifull picture, of course…
:)
This two ”real” cocktails have only one differences - juice. Balalaika is older cocktail than Kamikaze, and as balalaika has three strings it has three ingredients - vodka, cointreau, fresh lemon juice. Kamikaze include fresh lime juice instead lemon juice, and I have no idea as Balalaika turn into Kamikaze in this way.
Our goal on today`s frosty evening is a copmarsion of this cocktail.

Balalaika
25 ml vodka
25 ml Cointreau
25 ml fresh lemon juice
Shake vigorously and strain in cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon slice.
Kamikaze
25 ml vodka
25 ml Cointreau
25 ml fresh lime juice
Shake vigorously and strain in cocktail glass. Garnish with lime slice.
Conclusion:
- Both drink are admirable.
- Balalaika has reach smooth citrus taste and smell without perceptible spirituose smell. The taste and smell of Kamikaze are bright and refreshing. Kamikaze seems more strong, Balalaika more sweet.
- In my opinion Balalaika is a all-the-year-round aperitif - simple but great, Kamikaze is summer strong refresher drink.
Some notes:
- MUST! Use good premium vodka (non-flavoring of course!) and Cointreau.
- MUST! Use only fresh squeezed juice, not syrup or juice from pack or can (and use only fresh ripe fruits).
- IT IS GOOD! Chill your cocktail glasses in freezer.
- IT IS GOOD! Sip slowly and responsibly.
- IT IS GOOD! Take no more three or four for the evening…
