The Rose Cocktail is classic cocktail which was invented in 1920-s somewhere in Europe. It contain kirsch (or kirschwasser) as main alcohol, cherry-brandy (or as Wondrich specify raspberry liqueur or Chambord) as sweetener and dry vermouth as diluent. Kirsch is rare but interesting dry fruit brandy (or eau-de-vie) from Germany and France. It obtain from specifiс cherry by pot-distillation process.

Rose
45 ml dry vermouth
15 ml cherry brandy
15 ml kirsch
Stir. Cocktail glass with a rim from grenadine and sugar. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
The Rose Cocktail is admirable pre-dinner drink with elegant aroma of cherry and herbal taste.

Idea of this post is exploring of some cocktails named with female russian names. I found five cocktails of this kind. Taste of some female russian names. Some of this cocktails are pure and famous classiс – Ninotchka Cocktail. The Anouchka Cocktail is a signature drink of Salvatore Calabrese. This post I devoted all my female friends :)
First cocktail is famous Ninotchka Cocktail which named in honour of Gretta Garbo in “Ninotchka” movie (1939).

Ninotchka (Nintchka, Ninitchka)
45 ml vodka
15 ml light creme de cacao
15 ml fresh lemon juice
Shake. Cocktail glass.
The taste of Ninotchka Cocktail is very interesting and unusual. The combination of smooth sour taste of lemon and sweet choсolate taste of creme de cacao is great!
Recipe of Katinka Cocktail I found in The Classic Bar & Cocktail Book by J. Goodall. This is simple and interesting cocktail.

Katinka
50 ml vodka
40 ml apricot brandy
15 ml fresh lime juice
Shake. Cocktail glass. Garnish with fresh mint.
Sweet, no so strong cocktail with bright apricot taste and little sourness. Admirable!
My favorite CocktailDB list another and very intriguing recipe of Katinka Cocktail: gin, cordial Medoc, green Chartreuse and Angostura bitters. Sounds great! Worth to try.

The Natasha Cocktail has very sweet candy taste. It is amazing temptation.
Anouchka Cocktail was invented by Salvatore Calabrese. It is one of his signature cocktail. It is simple and delicious combination of vodka and sweet blackberry liqueur.

Anouchka
70 ml vodka
10 ml creme de mur (blackberry liqueur)
Stir. Chilled cocktail glass.
This cocktail has strong and sweet berry taste. Admirable!

45 ml 100 proof vodka
15 ml sweet vermouth
8 ml kirsch
8 ml orange juice
Shake. Cocktail glass. Garnish with orange peel.
This strong and elegant cocktail has comlex taste of vermouth and fruit with amazing bitter note in the aftertaste.

The theme of this MxMo is Fruit Liqueur. In my liquor cabinet are about 40 bottle of fruit liqueur :) But I have not time to explore this!
I found this sweet french cocktail in Michael Jackson`s Bar and Cocktail Book last summer. This fruity cocktail very impressed me and my guests.

Kirsch and Cassis
60 ml Creme de Cassis
30 ml kirsch
soda water
Shake with lot of crushed ice thoroughly. Serve in balloon wine glass with few large ice cube and add soda.
Extremely fruity!

This cocktail has sweet, but no mawkish taste. Ideal concoction for lovers, which hate a irish creams ;)

Strawberry Kiss
30 ml strawberry liqueur
15 ml light rum
15 ml kirsch
15 ml fresh orange juice
7 ml fresh lemon juice
Shake. Cocktail glass. Garnish with a strawberry.

Martini is no great cocktail only but vermouth. This cocktail is Grand Martini (& Rossi of course).

Grand Martini
1 dash Creme de menthe green
3 dashes kirsch
4 dashes apricot brandy
30 ml dry vermouth
30 ml sweet vermouth
30 ml dry gin
Shake. Cocktail glass.
Grand drink!
