I am in love now :) My new love is Margarita! Margarita cocktail is my TOP-1 now. I discover this cocktail during last ten days. As result I has two new bottle of tequila and many different Margaritas.

milagro-anejo.jpg

On of my new tequila is ultrapremium Leyenda de Milagro Selected Barrel Anejo (82 USD). I use this extraordinary spirit for construction of Ultrapremium Margarita. I now, that common case anejo tequila is not right ingredient for Margarita. The spirits of this quality usually reserved for sipping, not for mixed drinks. But I purshase this tequila for one of my new Margarita in my Ultimate Margarita search.

For my Ultrapremium Margarita I use anejo tequila, fresh lime juice and Grand Marnier liqueur in ratio 3:1:1. The cost of these three ingredients is more than 125$ Not bad, as for me!

125-margarita.jpg

Ultrapremium Margarita

45 ml ultrapremium anejo tequila 100% agava
15 ml Grand Marnier
15 ml fresh lime juice
Shake with a lot of crushed ice, and then strain into chilled cocktail glass, which is half-rimmed with salt.

I create this individual post about Ultrapremium Margarita because this is very special cocktail. The taste of this Margarita more closer to Side Car. Actually it is great cocktail which has rich and strong taste. This cocktail is no comparable to my over Margarita.

MxMo Local Flavor: Honey Pepper Manhattan

MxMo Local Flavor: Honey Pepper Manhattan

Theme of this MxMo is local flavor. Actually it is very interesting for me. I glad to present to you our ukrainian authentic alcohol drink - gorilka. Gorilka is same thing that vodka - strong drink from wheat and rye (in common case grain) rectificated spirit with different aromatic additives such as aromatic spirits from plants, berries and other. The real ukrainian taste of gorilka is unusual and very brave combination of pepper and honey. It is very cool combination I must say.

For MxMo I prepare very unusual cocktail from Honey Pepper Gorilka - Honey Pepper Manhattan. It is coctail for real man with big heart :) And bad appetite ;) It is a joke!

honey-pepper-manhattan.jpg

Nemiroff Honey Pepper Manhattan

50 ml Nemiroff Honey Pepper Original Gorilka
20 ml sweet italian vermouth
1-2 drops Angostura bitters
Stir. Cocktail glass. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.

This cocktail has unique combination of burning pepper and sweet honey taste.

Blue Hawaiian

2 August 2008 · 3 Comments

This cocktail has amazing character - as for me is symbol of La Dolce Vita. It is great thing for relax after hard work.

Blue Hawaiian was invented in bar of Zanzibar Club (London, UK). The Blue Hawaiian is a cocktail that contains white rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice and cream of coconut (or creme of coconut ???). However, some recipes substitute cream of coconut with coconut-flavored rum. This cocktail shouldn’t be confused with the similarly named Blue Hawaii (with vodka).

This two more beautiful (as for me, of course) version of Blue Hawaiian Cocktail.

blue-hawaiian.jpg

Blue Hawaiian (with a coconut liqueur)

30 ml white rum
30 ml coconut liqueur
30 ml pineapple juice
15 ml blue curacao liqueur
Shake. Serve in double-rocks glass. Garnish with a cherry and pinneaple spear.

Admirable cocktail with very smooth, light, sweet taste.

blue-hawaiian_cream.jpg

Blue Hawaiian (with a coconut cream)

40 ml white rum
20 ml pinneaple juice
10 ml blue curacao liqueur
1 tsp coconut cream
Shake vigorously. Serve in cocktail glass. Garnish with piece of pineapple.

This version has so strong and less coconut taste.

For my Blue Hawaiian I use Havana Club Anejo Blanco for very smooth and light cocktail.
